Ervin Raber, 72, of Shipshewana, (district: 42-1), died at 8:46 am on Saturday, September 24 at his residence. He was born on October 30, 1949, in Topeka, to John and Anna (Yoder) Raber. On May 20, 1976, in Chouteau, OK, he married Clara Louise Miller, she survives.
Survivors in addition to his wife are two daughters, Deanna (Matthew) Yoder of Nappanee, Delores (Christie) Schlabach of Shipshewana; son, Ervin "Dean" (Sara) Raber of Middlebury; 13 grandchildren, Katrina (Luke) Borkholder, Deborah (James) Miller, Meredith (Caleb) Schmucker, Karissa Schlabach (special friend Kevin Hochstetler), Kristen Schlabach (special friend Marcus Yoder), Ethan Yoder, Travis Yoder, Benjamin Raber, Erika Yoder, Sofia Raber, Megan Yoder, Maggie Raber, Evie Raber; great-granddaughter, Eliza Miller; brother, Monroe (Naomi) Raber of Topeka; two brothers-in-law, Lee Miller of Shipshewana, Melvin (Alice) Frey of Topeka; sister-in-law, Betty Raber of Topeka.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Ida Miller, Edna Frey, Sue Troyer; brother, Levi Raber.
Ervin was the founder of Raber Patio Enclosures, retiring in 2018. He also enjoyed auctioneering. Ervin was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Visitation will be after 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 25 and all day Monday, September 26 at the Christie Schlabach residence, 155 Union St., Shipshewana. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Tuesday, September 27 also at the Christie Schlabach residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop LaVern Yoder and the home ministers. Burial will be in East Barren Cemetery, Shipshewana.
Raber, Fannie Raber
January 18, 1925 - April 14, 2022
Fannie Raber 97, of 3920 TR 188, Baltic, passed away at her residence on Thursday, April 14, 2022 after a short illness. She was born on January 18, 1925 to the late John and Mattie (Nisley) Raber. On December 22, 1949 she married Eli E. Raber who preceded her in death on January 8, 2006. Fannie was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
She is survived by her children, Robert (Amanda) Raber of Millersburg, Roman (Fannie) Raber of Millersburg, Noah Raber of the home, Eli Jr. (Leanna) Raber of the home, Alma (Lester) Miller of Baltic, Esta (Reuben) Yoder of Millersburg; 31 grandchildren; 74 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Ella (Henry C.) Yoder.
In addition to her parents and her husband Eli, she was preceded in death by her son, Andy Jay Raber; grandson, David Miller; siblings, Anna (Noah) Miller, Malinda (Joe) Miller, Ada (Rob) Troyer, Lizzie (Andy) Yoder, Mattie (Simon) Miller and Benjamin (Emma) Raber.
Funeral services will be held at the home on Sunday, April 17, at 9:00 a.m. with Bishop Paul Nisley officiating. Burial will follow in the Raber Cemetery. Friends may call at the home after 2 p.m. on Friday and any time on Saturday. Mary Alice Raber, 79, of Ligonier, (district: 28), died at 4:42 am, on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at her residence. She was born on January 12, 1943 in LaGrange County to Levi and Anna (Schrock) Yoder. On May 16, 1963, in Topeka she married Daniel W. Raber, he died June 15, 2019.
Surviving are two daughters, Leona (Daniel) Hochstetler of Ligonier and Marlene (Ray) Yoder of Millersburg; son, Jerry Lee Raber of Portland, OR; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ervin L. Yoder of LaGrange and Alton (Iva) Yoder of Goshen; four sisters, Pauline (Elmer) Graber of Bloomfield, IA, Lydia Mae (Alvin) Miller of Goshen, Sue Ellen (Mervin) Hershberger, Ruth Ann Wingard of Shipshewana.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Mary Alice was a homemaker and member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Visitation will be after 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 8, and all day Friday, December 9, at the family's residence, 8769 N. 700 W., Ligonier. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Ferman Miller residence, 8600 N. 700 W., Ligonier. Services will be conducted by Bishop Dean Miller and the home ministers. Ramer, Carrie E. Martin

Carrie E. Ramer, 86, of New Paris, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2022, at home.
She was born December 25, 1935, in Goshen to Monroe and Annette (Shaum) Martin.
On June 5, 1955 she married Marcus W. Ramer in Goshen. He died July 3, 2008.
She is survived by five daughters, Kathleen (Charles) Ramer of New Paris, Connie (Enos) Rodes of Ligonier, Julia (Roy) Rodes of New Paris, Karla (Burnett) Martin of Bremen and Angela (Nelson) Nolt of Unity, Wisconsin; five son, Darrell (Rachel) Ramer of Cazenovia, Wisconsin, Nelson (Laura) Ramer of Nappanee, Dwight (Karen) Ramer of Ironside, Oregon, Marcus “Lyle” (Barbara) Ramer, and Travis Ramer, both of Snover, Michigan; two foster daughters, Paulette Tramble of Duluth, Georgia and Tessie (James) Sherwood of Woodburn and two foster sons, Jerry (Tammy) Miller of Fort Wayne and Greg (Taneth) Wetzel of Decker, Michigan. She is also survived by 39 grandchildren, 109 great-grandchildren; five foster grandchildren; two step-granddaughters; two step great-grandchildren and a sister, Carol (Ray) Eberly of Mount Pleasant Mills, Pennsylvania.
Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Ariana Kulp; three sisters, Lizzie Hoover, Margaret Ramer and Verna Zimmerman and six brothers, Maynard, Monroe Jr. Gerald, Charles, Harold and Kenneth Martin.
A lifetime area resident, she was a caring grandmother and great-grandmother, and a member of Cornerstone Mennonite Church.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 25, 2022, from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Cornerstone Mennonite Church, 24546 C.R. 44, Nappanee. A 10 a.m., Thursday, May 26, 2022, funeral service will be held at the church. Home Ministry will officiate.
Burial will follow in Yellow Creek Frame Cemetery, Goshen.
Ramer, Patricia Darlene Lott
September 15, 1954 - November 14, 2022
Patricia Darlene Ramer, age 68, of Argos, IN, passed away at 8:26am on Monday, November 14, 2022, at her residence after an almost 2-year battle with colon cancer. She was born on September 15, 1954 in Tokyo, Japan to John Cecil and May Marene (Malloy) Lott. Patricia was a 1972 graduate of Seagoville High School in Seagoville, TX.
She married Paul Ramer on November 19, 1971 in Dallas, TX, and moved to Indiana in 1984 from Frisco, TX, where together they lived in Argos, IN since 1991. Patricia joined the Mennonite faith in 1984 and was a member of Cornerstone Mennonite Church, Nappanee, IN.
She is survived by her husband Paul Ramer of Argos, IN; 5 children, Rachel (Marvin) Shaum of Sterling, MI, Philip (Tosha) Ramer of South Bend, IN, Jonathan Ramer of Orlando, FL, Susannah (Jonathan) Martin of Wakarusa, IN, and Josh (Rae) Ramer of Argos, IN; and 16 grandchildren.
Friends and family may call on Thursday, November 17, 2022, from 6-8pm at Cornerstone Mennonite Church, Nappanee, and also on Friday, November 18, 2022, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the church. Funeral services will be on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at 10am at Cornerstone Mennonite Church with Cornerstone Mennonite Church Home Ministries officiating. Indigo Summer Reiff, 2-week-old precious daughter of Kenton G. and Francine Maria (Martin) Reiff of Columbia, entered into rest on July 22, 2022 at Hershey Medical Center.
Surviving in addition to her parents is a brother Kenyon Elliott Reiff at home; maternal grandparents Edwin and Kathryn Martin, Quarryville; paternal grandparents Elvin and Dorcas Reiff, Mount Joy; maternal great-grandmother Frances Martin, Quarryville; paternal great-grandparents Moses and Elizabeth Good, Manheim.
She was born at 40 weeks and 1 day. We were blessed by her short but beautiful life.

Laura N. (Zimmerman) Reiff, 94, of Millmont, entered into rest at 4:45 a.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at her residence.
She was born Aug. 15, 1927, in East Earl Township, Lancaster County, a daughter of Reuben and Lydia S. (Newswanger) Zimmerman. She was married on Nov. 17, 1949, in New Holland, to Aaron E. Reiff, who preceded her in death on Aug. 9, 2008.
Mrs. Reiff was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Mountain View Old Order Mennonite Church, Millmont.
Surviving are her children and their spouses, Reuben Z. and Verna M. Reiff of Mifflinburg, John A. and Lydia B. Reiff of Millmont, Eli Z. and Emma B. Reiff of Mifflinburg, Daniel Z. and Pauline M. Reiff of Lewisburg, Paul Z. and Louise M. Reiff of Mifflinburg, Allen Z. and Dorothy M. Reiff of Millmont, Alma Z. and James W. Martin of Ephrata, and Clarence Z. and Ruth Ann Reiff of Millmont; 66 grandchildren, 190 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and brothers and sisters and their spouses, Mary Ella Zimmerman of Lebanon, Issac and Ella Zimmerman of Ephrata, Ida and Willis Stauffer of Ephrata.
She was preceded in death by three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and seven siblings, Anna Rissler, Clarence Zimmerman, Leah Brubaker, Reuben Zimmerman, Martha Zimmerman, Edna Zimmerman, Noah Zimmerman.
Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 18, at the family residence, 744 Cold Run Road, Millmont, where the funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 19, with further services at 9:30 a.m. from the Mountain View Old Order Mennonite Church, Millmont, with Bishop Lloyd R. Zimmerman and the church's home ministry officiating.
Interment will be in Mountain View Old Order Mennonite Church Cemetery.

Zachary and Joey Reiff, infant sons of Aaron Lynn and Janice Marie (Zimmerman) Reiff, of 288 Dorman Lane, Mifflinburg, entered into the arms of Jesus at the time of their birth at 7 a.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Surviving are three sisters, Kiona Reiff, Sophia Reiff, Savanna Reiff all at home; paternal grandparents, Paul Z. and Louise M. Reiff, of Mifflinburg; maternal grandparents, Ira R. and Arlene M. Zimmerman, of Millmont; paternal great-grandmother, Laura Z. Reiff, of Millmont; paternal great-grandmother, Lydia M. Martin, of Mifflinburg; maternal great-grandparents, Daniel M. and Alice W. Burkholder, of Mifflinburg, and maternal great-grandparents, Phares L. and Ada B. Zimmerman, of Millmont.
They were preceded in death by two brothers, Rylinn and Felix Reiff; maternal grandmother, Mary Ellen Zimmerman, and by paternal great-grandfathers, Aaron E. Reiff and Levi N. Martin.

Reimer, Rosemary Alice Wyse
August 22, 1933 - March 3, 2022
Rosemary Alice Wyse Reimer, 88, died in Goshen on March 3, [2022]. She was born on August 22, 1933 in Archbold, Ohio, the oldest of 10 children of Cora (Nofziger) and Harold Wyse. Her siblings are Buetta, deceased 2006 (Marion Bontrager), Dean (Berneda Grieser), Byrdalene (Willis Horst), Denton (Faith Troyer), Sanford (Judy Wyse), Allen (Jo Nofziger), Ned (Debra Rupp), Norma (Mark Ramseyer), and Sara (Rich Wenger).
Rosemary’s first job as a bank teller brought her into contact with Spanish-speaking clients and sparked her love of Spanish. She earned a BA in Spanish from Goshen College in 1958. She developed and taught the first Spanish language classes at Archbold and Pettisville public schools.
Bethany Christian High School recruited her to teach Spanish, if she would also take on the school library. During the 1960s she worked in libraries and taught English in Mennonite schools and seminaries in Colombia, Uruguay and Paraguay. In 1972 she earned a master’s degree in Library Science from Arizona State University.
In the decades that followed she continued organizing Anabaptist libraries in Japan and India and teaching Spanish. For the 1978 Mennonite World Conference (Newton, KS) she recruited and organized translators in 5 languages, and edited the multilingual conference songbook.
She developed TESOL (Teaching English) programs. She and her students taught and welcomed immigrants and refugees. Rosemary taught TESOL at both Goshen College and Bethel College (KS). She developed a cross-cultural curriculum to ease the adjustment of the Chinese exchange professors who started coming to Goshen College in the early 80s and led an early Goshen College SST unit in China.
In 1994 she married Gerhard Reimer. Together they led study abroad programs in Mexico, Costa Rica, and Germany. For many years they volunteered at the Anabaptist Seminary library in Bogotá, Colombia. Rosemary developed and led the language and cultural orientation program for young people coming to volunteer in the U.S. through Mennonite Central Committee’s IVEP program for over 10 years.
Rosemary was skilled and passionate about developing relationships across cultures. She was a well-loved teacher, a hospitable host to international guests, an advocate for immigrants and refugees, and a hard worker who was willing to move around the world responding to needs. She baked innumerable “worm” birthday cakes and shared her table frequently bringing people together over dinner.
Surviving her are three step children, Paul (Kathryn Meyer), Julia (Phillip Lund), and Christine (Michael Collins), five grandchildren, Peter, Benjamin, Elena, Lyra, and Henry and many beloved nieces and nephews. Gerhard and Rosemary had been married for 24 years when he passed away in 2019.
She was a member of College Mennonite Church where a memorial service will take place April 9 at 11:30 a.m. Visitation will start at 10:00 a.m. before the service. Memorial gifts can be made to the International Student Aid Fund at College Mennonite Church.
Reinhardt, Leanne Kay
March 5, 1966 - September 17, 2022
Leanne Kay Reinhardt, 56 of Goshen, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday September 17, 2022. She was born March 5, 1966 in Elkhart to Dale and Doris (Hartman) Reinhardt.
Surviving is her mother Doris Reinhardt of Goshen, siblings Duane (Laurie) Reinhardt of Nappanee, Carl (Marleen) Reinhardt of Dalton, OH, Brent (Marla) Reinhardt of Goshen, Karen (Bill) Martin of Goshen and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father Dale and brother Randy (Delora) Reinhardt.
Leanne was a member of Yellow Creek Mennonite Church, Goshen where she enjoyed greeting people and singing. She attended ADEC day services for many years.
Visitation will be from 9-11 am Wednesday, September 21, 2022 followed by a funeral service at 11 am at Yellow Creek Mennonite Church, 64901 CR 11 Goshen, IN 46526. Pastor Wes Bontreger and Pastor Doug Gerber will officiate. Burial will follow at Yellow Creek Cemetery

Rhodes, Carl Atlee
August 14, 1952 - November 10, 2022
Carl Atlee Rhodes, 70, of Lisbon, Ohio passed to his eternal Home on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at the Saint Elizabeth's Hospital in Youngstown, OH following a massive stroke on October 31.
Carl was born August 14,1952 in Salem, OH to Mark and Ina (VanPelt) Rhodes. On October 5, 1974, he was joined in marriage to Edna Horst of Kidron, OH. The newlywed couple settled in Columbiana County where they have resided all 48 years of their marriage. In his youth, he made a choice to follow Christ and was a member of the Valley View Mennonite Church of Dalton, OH at the time of his death.
He is survived by his wife, Edna (Horst) Rhodes of Lisbon, OH; two sons, Vernon Rhodes (Lynette [Miller]) of Lisbon, OH; and Dallas Rhodes (Karen [Good]) of Dalton, OH; and seven daughters, Marlene Sweigart (Steven) of Morgantown, PA; Joann Fisher (Mervin) of Machias, NY; Twila Burkholder (Leland) of Bloomfield, NM; Karen Rudolph (Eugene) of Dalton, OH; Glenda Zimmerman (Jeremy) of Ossineke, MI; Juanita Rhodes of Willard, OH; and Denise Rhodes (fiancé, Wesley Martin) of Augusta, WI. He will also be remembered and missed by his 31 grandchildren.
Surviving are three brothers, Webster Rhodes of Nashwauk, MN; Lee Rhodes of Patriot, OH; and Allen Rhodes of Columbiana, OH; and four sisters, Hazel Mosemann of Salem, OH; Eva Weaver of Columbiana, OH; Beulah Petre of New Waterford, OH; and Dorothy Cross of Tunas, MO.
Carl purchased a farm near Lisbon in 1976. He was a very active man and involved in various occupations. In addition to being a mason, crop farmer, and beef farmer, he dedicated 48 years to being a seed sales representative for Pioneer. He enjoyed the broad social life he acquired through his church, family, and work. His family has many memories of joining him in his favorite activities: checking crops, singing, deer hunting, fishing on Lake Erie, and raising and marketing produce.
He was preceded in death by his father, Mark, in 2008; his mother, Ina, in 1986; his brother, Harvey Rhodes, in 1973; and his sister, Wilda Hege, in 2022.
Funeral services will be held at the Greenford Christian Church (11767 Lisbon Road, Greenford, Ohio 44422) on Wednesday, November 16 at 10 AM. Burial will follow in the Pleasant View Cemetery. Friends and family may call at the Greenford Christian Church on Monday, November 14 from 6-8 PM and on Tuesday, November 15 from 1-3 PM and 5-7 PM. The family has entrusted Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana, Ohio with the arrangements for their loved one.
Rhodes, Ellen Rebecca Knicely
May 5, 1932 - September 10, 2022
Ellen Rebecca Knicely Rhodes, 90, a resident of 780 Bank Church Road, Dayton, transitioned peacefully to her eternal home on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2022, at her home. While she was granted many years of life, her daily activities were restricted by a life-long heart condition.
Ellen was born on May 5, 1932, to the late Lewis and Elizabeth Koogler Knicely. She was raised in the Dayton area and received her education at Dayton Elementary and High School. She was a homemaker and member of Pleasant View Mennonite Church.
On Dec. 9, 1956, she was united in marriage to Neil Anthony Rhodes, who preceded her in death on March 6, 2013.
Ellen is survived by her children, Anita Rhodes and Laura Rhodes of Dayton and Linden Rhodes and wife, Christie, of Singers Glen; grandsons, Morgan Rhodes and fiancée, Sherri King and Grant Rhodes and wife, Rebecca; granddaughters, Cheri Rhodes and Lorena Rhodes; great-granddaughter, Mckenzie Sue; one brother, Amos S. Knicely of Dayton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Orpha Heatwole and Wilda Witmer; brother, Byard Knicely; brothers-in-law, Paul Heatwole and Amos Witmer; and sisters-in-law, Nellie Knicely and Martha Knicely.
The family will receive friends at her home on Monday, Sept. 12, 2022, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Ministers of the Church will conduct a funeral service Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at Pleasant View Mennonite Church.
Ellen’s nephews will serve as pallbearers and she will be laid to rest in the adjoining church cemetery.

Laura Rhodes, 82, of Vineyard Lane, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away December 27, 2022 at Del Sol Medical Center, El Paso, Texas. Visitation will be 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM, Friday, December 30, 2022 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 31, 2022 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery. Denton- Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Laura was born December 9, 1940 in Iowa City, Iowa to Sylvan and Alta (Miller) Yoder. She graduated from Iowa Mennonite School in 1959 and earned an LPN degree at LaJunta Mennonite School of Nursing in Colorado. Laura married Dick Rhodes February 13, 1965 in Iowa City, Iowa. They moved to Carlsbad in 1969.
Laura loved the Lord, her family, her church family and a multitude of friends. She was an active member of Carlsbad Mennonite Church and The Gideons International Auxiliary. Her Christian faith was her priority and she displayed it through her sweet spirit and her pure heart. She worked for Lakeview Christian Home for almost 25 years as the Activity Director. She also held several offices for the Association of New Mexico Activity Professionals. Everyone who knew Laura was always met with a smile. She loved to host and entertain guests in their home. Some of her hobbies included crafts, reading, quilting, and sewing. She loved scrapbooking and attended multiple events where she made many friends. She loved playing games with friends and family, especially her grandchildren. The love she had for her family was shown through her care and concern for each family member and her thoughtfulness in making quilts for many of them through the years.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Lillian Miller.
Survivors are her husband, Richard "Dick" Rhodes of Carlsbad, New Mexico; son, Glen Rhodes and wife, Rhonda of Arthur, Illinois; daughters: Sherri Smith and husband, Travis of Krum, Texas, Colleen Keller and husband, Clay of Carlsbad, New Mexico; grandchildren: Rebecca Hopkins and husband, Steven, Derek Rhodes and wife, Morgan, Trey and Conner Smith, Cayla and Cassie Keller, Carrie Keller and fiance, Hector Lara and Colleen Cane and husband, Nick; great-grandchildren: Serenity, Bennett and Wyatt; sister, Roline Migliore and husband, Frank; brothers: Dennis Yoder and wife, AnnaMary, Norman Yoder and wife, Linda and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary Frances Cromer Rhodes, 87, of Rockingham, passed away April 28, 2022 at her home. Mrs. Rhodes was born September 14, 1934 in the Spring Creek area of Rockingham County and was the daughter of the late Carter W. and Roonie Deter Cromer. Mrs. Rhodes grew up in Spring Creek and was a 1951 graduate of Bridgewater High School. She was an active member of the Fairview Church of the Brethren in Mount Clinton where she played the piano for many years. She enjoyed sewing and made comforters that she gave as gifts to children at the church and many other friends and family. She was an amazing cook and baked cakes for friends and her family. Her and her husband were foster parents to many children over the years. She was a loving and caring woman and was a devoted wife, a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be greatly missed by those who loved her.
On August 10, 1952, she married the love of her life, Stanley Everette Rhodes who died June 5, 2011. She is survived by sons, Quentin Rhodes and wife, Peggy of Rockingham; daughters, Roonie Rhodes of Rockingham, Shirley R. Yukich and husband, John of Davidson, NC; sisters, Elsie Hilbert and husband, Ira of Harrisonburg, Nancy Harmon and husband, Harry Lee of Bridgewater; grandchildren, Jason Rhodes and wife, Laura, Peter Yukich, Paul Yukich and wife, Brittany, Mary Yukich, Thomas Yukich; great-grandchildren, Miriam Rhodes, Adam Rhodes, Allison Yukich. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son, Jeff Rhodes, who died August 21, 2015; brothers, Welby, Fred, Tom, Dave and John Robert Cromer, sisters, Pansy Hilbert, June Coffman, Bonnie Myers, Ruth Tutwiler and JoAnn Gordon.
The family will receive friends Sunday evening May 1, 2022 from 6 to 8pm at the Kyger Funeral Home in Harrisonburg.
Pastor Jim Hall will conduct a graveside service 10:00 am Monday May 2, 2022 at Weavers Mennonite Church Cemetery in Harrisonburg.

Anna H. Ringler, 84, of 240 Laurel Road, East Earl, PA passed away at home on Monday, April 18, 2022.
She was married 62 years to Reuben W. Ringler who died Thursday, April 14, 2022. Born in Earl Twp., she was the daughter of the late Menno M. and Elizabeth N. Hoover Martin.
Anna was a homemaker and a member of the Bowmansville Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference.

Reuben W. Ringler, 84, of 240 Laurel Road, East Earl, PA passed away at home on Thursday, April 14, 2022. He was married 62 years to Anna H. Martin Ringler. Born in Churchtown, he was the son of the late Floyd K. and Anna G. Weaver Ringler.
Reuben was a retired farmer and a member of the Bowmansville Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference.

Risser, Barbara Baer Hege
May 11, 1929 - June 7, 2022
Barbara Baer Risser, 93, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at Virginia Mennonite Retirement Community, where she was a resident.
Mrs. Risser was born May 11, 1929, in Hagerstown, Md., to the late Jonas Eby Hege and Elizabeth Baer Hege.
Mrs. Risser was an avid reader, writer, poet, and published author, having published four books in her life. As a faithful servant of God, she taught Sunday School and was a women's group leader at Greencastle Antrim Women's Fellowship. She enjoyed the beach, loved her family, and provided hospitality to many guests in her home, including the children of the Fresh Air Program they often hosted. She was a member of Zion Mennonite Church.
On Nov. 19, 1950, she married Benjamin Meyers Risser, who preceded her in death March 23, 2018.
Mrs. Risser is survived by her children, Ben Risser and wife, Kathy, of Broadway, Va., Dave Risser and wife, Doris, of Wooster, Ohio, Phil Risser and wife, Pam, of Greencastle, Pa., Joy Yoder and husband, Elwood, of Harrisonburg, Va., and Jewel Yutzy and husband, Dave, of Timberville, Va.; siblings, Dorothy Groff and husband, Marvin, of Canton, Pa., David Hege and wife, Arlene, of Georgia; a brother-in-law, John Brenneman; sister-in-law, Cora Horst; grandchildren, Autumn Isom and husband, Jeremy, Heather Harper, Alisha Justice and husband, Brent, Jon Risser and wife, Jonalyn, Mark Risser and wife, Laura, Daniel Risser and wife, Cara, Elizabeth Barthlow and husband, Jason, Lena Weaver and husband, Adam, Leah Laughlin and husband, Sam, Amanda Risser, Nate Yoder and wife, Maggie, Maria Billings and husband, Aaron, Phil J. Visitation and viewing will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, June 10, 2022, at McMullen Funeral Home.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 11, at Zion Mennonite Church in Broadway with Pastor Sarah Miller Piper officiating. Burial will be held privately at Lindale Cemetery.

Dennis W. Risser, 81, died November 28, 2022, in Goshen.
He was born April 29, 1941, in Goshen to Woodrow T. and E. Arlene (Miller) Risser Bobeck.
On August 24, 1968, he married Alice A. Yoder.
She survives along with children Denise, Deanna and Eric (Michelle) Risser, all of Goshen; grandchildren Emily and Joel; brother J. Douglas (Sharon) Risser of Goshen; and sisters-in-law Karen Yoder of Goshen, Jonna Risser of Carmel, and Nancy (Cloyce) Nofziger of Archbold, Ohio, along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Jerry L. Risser; and brothers- and sisters-in-law M. Marion Yoder, Regina Yoder, Wanda Yoder, Charles D. Yoder, Judy Yoder, and John W. Yoder.
He graduated in 1959 from Goshen High School, in 1963 from Bluffton College and in 1967 from Indiana University with a master’s degree in education.
Dennis taught at Shipshewana Scott High School, Lakeland High School, and Glen Oaks Community College. He was also a realtor and a member of Eighth Street Mennonite Church, Indiana Retired Teachers, Elkhart County Board of Realtors, and a former member of Middlebury Exchange Club. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, jazz music, and sang in many local singing groups.
Visitation will be Friday, December 2, 2022, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Yoder Culp Funeral Home, Goshen; and one hour prior to the 10 a.m. memorial service at Eighth Street Mennonite Church, Goshen, on Saturday, December 3.
Memorials may be given to Camp Friedenswald, or Eighth St. Mennonite Church designated for student financial aid.
Rissler, Marian K. Newswanger
May 18, 1948 - September 1, 2022
Marian K. Rissler, 74, of East Earl, passed away at home on September 1, 2022 following an 8 year battle with Alzheimer's. Her love for her family and small children remained until the end of her life.
She was married 54 years to Floyd R. Rissler. Born in Denver, she was the daughter of the late David M. and Amanda Z. Kilmer Newswanger.
Marian was a member of the Bowmansville Mennonite Church. She had worked in a sewing factory and then worked many years as a bookkeeper for Rissler Masonry. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed playing games with and reading books to her children and grandchildren. Her interests included gardening, scrapbooking, walking, doing puzzles and reading her Bible daily.
Surviving besides her husband are three sons, Quentin husband of Darlene Rissler, Vincent husband of Jenn Rissler and Kevin husband of Diane Rissler; a daughter, Becky wife of Robert Marshall; 12 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; and siblings, Susie Newswanger, Elias husband of Mary Newswanger, Amos husband of Eileen Newswanger, Daniel Newswanger, and Lydia Newswanger. She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Sharyn Rissler, a sister, Anna Newswanger, a brother, David Newswanger and by a sister-in-law, Ella Newswanger.

Noah Lelan Rodes, 93, of Port Republic, Va., passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2022. Mr. Rodes was born Feb. 9, 1929, in Pleasant Valley, Va., and was a son of the late David M. and Naomi Koogler Rodes.
He was a lifelong farmer in the Pleasant Valley and Port Republic communities.
On Dec. 6, 1951, he married Ada Marie Beery, who survives. They were married for over 70 years. He was a member of Pike Mennonite Church.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his children, Marie (Nelson) Showalter, Nelson (Dawn) Rodes, Glenn (Sheri) Rodes, and Allen (Krista) Rodes, all of Port Republic; 13 grandchildren, Marlan Showalter, Sherman Showalter, Marilla Melcher, Evan Showalter, Gary Rodes, Justin Rodes, Adam Rodes, Kelsie Garber, Cara Rodes, Erica Rodes, Lorna Knicely, Brady Rodes, and Corina Rodes; 17 great-grandchildren; siblings, Martha Burkholder of Mount Crawford, Adin (Verna) Rodes of Bridgewater, Rhoda (Frank) Bennett of Hinton, and Ruby (Wendell) Beachey of Mount Crawford; sister-in-law, Betty Rodes of Harrisonburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Sharla Rodes King; and his siblings, Priscilla Beery, Catherine Rodes, Ruth Martin Groff, John Rodes, Aaron Rodes, Joseph Rodes, Anna Lehman, Esther Good, Daniel Rodes, and Iva Beachey.
The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, 2022, at Pike Mennonite Church with the Ministers of the Church officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, at Pike Mennonite Church.

A. Marie Rohrer, 93, of Stevens and formerly of Lititz passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 1, 2022. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Clayton and Elsie Gehman Rohrer. Marie was a caregiver privately employed by families.
Surviving are two sisters: Martha Ramer of New Paris, Indiana, Elsie Lehman of Woodward and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 9 siblings.

Rohrer, J. Lloyd
October 14, 1927 - August 25, 2022
J. Lloyd Rohrer, 94, of Manheim, and formerly of Lititz, died peacefully on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at the Mennonite Home, Lancaster. Born in West Lampeter Township, he was the son of the late Jacob H. and Anna Groff Rohrer. Lloyd was the loving husband of the late Lorraine Burkhart Rohrer who died in December of 2004 following 53 years of marriage.
Having a passion for working throughout his life, Lloyd was the owner and operator of his own farm in West Lampeter Township, and worked for Roger E. Gerhart Excavating, Lititz. He continued his employment working as a Real Estate Broker for Kingsway Realty, Lancaster, until he fully retired in 2019 at the young age of 91. A faithful and active member of Neffsville Mennonite Church, Lancaster, Lloyd served on church council and as church treasurer. He served as a Warwick Township Supervisor. He was a member of the former Warwick Township Lions Club, and the former Hemlock Haven Hunting Club in Mifflin County. In his early years he was active with Future Farmers of America, and the Pennsylvania State Future Farmers of America Band, and 4-H. He enjoyed going to Pine Lane Retreat in Lycoming County, hunting, and snowmobiling. Lloyd loved his family, and cherished the time he could spend with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Surviving are three sons: Larry B. husband of Carol Rohrer of Gordon, TX, Dennis L. Rohrer of Lititz, Dwight E. husband of Jennifer Rohrer of Manheim, a daughter, Beth L. Rohrer of Centreville, VA, nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and a sister, Ruth Nissley of Lititz. Preceding him in death are two sisters: Mary Swarr, Edna Buckwalter, and two brothers: Melvin G. and Harold G. Rohrer.

Pauline L. Rohrer, 88, of Quarryville, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, September 23, 2022. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late P. Mylin and Emma A. (Kauffman) Lefever. She was the loving wife of the late Nelson G. Rohrer for 67 years at the time of his passing in 2021.
Pauline was a homemaker and member of Bethel Mennonite Church.

Rutt, Christa Lynn Martin
May 6, 1973 - May 8 2022
Christa Lynn Rutt, 49, of Ephrata, was called into the presence of Jesus her Good Shepherd, at Hospice and Community Care in Mount Joy on Sunday May 8, 2022, following a 20-month battle with cancer. Her lungs were full of cancer, but her heart was full of Jesus.
She was married 22 years to Nelson L. Rutt. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of Barbara O. Sensenig Martin Sheaffer of Denver, and the late Elvin K. Martin. She was the step-daughter of Kenneth Sheaffer of Denver.
Christa was a homemaker and a member of Parkview Mennonite Church in Reamstown. At the church she assisted her husband who is a pastor. For ten years, Nelson and Christa were youth pastors. She was also a small group leader, taught Sunday School, mentored young women and was a prayer warrior. She was a former teacher at Gehman's Mennonite School and at New Horizon's Ministries in Colorado. Having a special needs daughter, she founded the Wings Group which was a group for moms with special need children. She was an artist, and enjoyed reading, but her biggest enjoyment in life was spending time with her family.
Surviving besides her husband, mother and step-father are three daughters, Holly Noel Rutt, Misty Bryanne Rutt, and Mya Dove Rutt; two sons, Dawson Lee Rutt and Isaac Pirece Rutt all at home; two brothers, Dwain husband of Shana (Heisey) Martin of East Earl, and Dean husband of Dawn (Martin) Martin of Denver; two sisters, Beverly wife of Larry Rutt of Ephrata, and Dawn Seibel of Reamstown; two step-brothers, Kenneth, Jr. husband of Barbara Sheaffer of East Petersburg, and John husband of Beth Sheaffer of Bethel; and two step-sisters, Jewel wife of Myron Good of Narvon, and Jann wife of Dwain Martin of Womelsdorf.

Ruth E. (Martin) Rutt, 81, of New Holland, passed away on November 18, 2022 at Fairmount Homes.
Born in Ephrata, she was the daughter of the late Noah M. and Annie (Musser) Martin.
She was the loving wife of the late Elmer Groff Rutt, whom she married on January 16, 1960, and they shared sixty years of marriage until the time of his passing on September 12, 2020.
She was a member of Groffdale Mennonite Church (Weaverland Conference). She was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting and spending time with her family.
Ruth is survived by her children: Leonard husband of Marlene (Martin) Rutt of Ephrata, Clair husband of Janice (Weaver) Rutt of Lititz, Carl husband of Becky (Moyer) Rutt of Denver, and Matthew husband of Darla (Shirk) Rutt of Beavertown, and Karen wife of Luke Martin of Denver; seventeen grandchildren and thirty-four great grandchildren. Also surviving are her siblings: N. Eugene widower of Mabel (Good) Martin, Raymond S. husband of Mary (Hoover) Martin, Mervin L. husband of Verna (Redcay) Martin, Carl H. husband of Bebe (Summers) Martin, Clarence R. husband of Ruth (Stauffer) Martin, Edna widow of Clayton Horning and Lyman Sensening, Arlene widow of Clarence Weaver and Marian wife of Lawrence Martin.
In addition to her husband and her parents, she is predeceased by a daughter: Joyce Ann Rutt and grandchildren: Kristi Rutt and Conner Rutt.
